Customer Service / In-House Projects

As project coordinator, the Customer Services liaison provides services
that include estimating and project management for maintenance and
and alterations that involve two or more Physical Plant Building and Utility
Services shops, Grounds Department and/or Custodial Department. This
also includes event coordination with Custodial, Grounds and the Sign Shop.
For example, you may need to move people between offices in your building.
One Work Order will set in motion coordination of such things as the removal
or installation of shelving, painting, floor waxing and installation of wall coverings.
This service keeps the customer from having to make contact with multiple
shops by providing a single point of contact for the entire estimate or project.
This service also ensures a schedule with a minimum impact to the work
environment. Ordering this type of work is easy. Just contact the Work Control
Control Desk at 459-4444 or wodesk@ucsc.edu and let them know that you
have a “multiple craft” project.

The Customer Services liaison serves as a central point of contact for Physical
Plant inquiries. For example, you may have questions about the scheduling of
some work in your area and you’re not sure whom to call. Perhaps you’ve had
a problem with work quality or cost and don’t know how to proceed. Or you
may have an idea about some work that you’d like to have done and would like
to talk to someone about the best way to proceed.
